Pip the Owl Can't Sleep

50 reads·1 min read
Little Pip was an owl. It was night, but Pip could not sleep. The dark felt big. Pip looked out from his tree home. Mom came to see him. "What is wrong, Pip?" she said. "I can't close my eyes," Pip told her. "I want to rest, but I just can't." Mom gave Pip a soft pat. "Think of the moon," she said. "It helps us sleep." Pip shut his eyes. He thought of the big, round moon. Soon, Pip was fast asleep.
