Julia's Lucky Rock

Julia had a lucky rock. It was smooth and gray. She kept it in her small red bag. Today was show-and-tell. Julia went to get her rock, but it was not there!
She looked in her bag and under her bed. Julia checked her toy box. No rock. She felt sad. Where could it be? She needed her lucky rock for school.
Her mom called, "Julia, time to go!" Julia still looked. She thought hard. Last winter, she had put the rock in her coat for safekeeping.
Julia ran to the closet. She found her thick winter coat. She felt in the pocket. Yes! There it was! Her smooth, gray lucky rock. Julia smiled wide. Now she could share her special rock with her class.
