Mia's Lost Hat

Mia loved summer days. The sun was bright and warm. She wore her favorite wide-brim hat. It was blue with red stripes. Mia played catch with her friend, Sam. They tossed the ball far across the green grass. Mia ran to get the ball. She felt a breeze lift her hat right off her head!
"Oh no!" Mia cried. "My hat flew off!"
Sam saw it go. "It went behind that big bush!" he said.
They ran to the bush. Mia looked under the leaves. No hat. Sam checked the branches. "Here it is!" he shouted. The hat was stuck high on a branch. Sam was taller. He reached up and carefully pulled it down.
"Thanks, Sam!" Mia said, putting her hat back on. "Now we can keep playing!"
